Professor Hu Qinghua graduated from Sichuan University in 1993 and received her Master Degree of Microbiological Genetics in 1993, major in DNA fingerprint of microbiology and molecular biological research of Yak. She served as deputy director of Microbiology Laboratory in Shenzhen Center for Disease Control & Prevention. Her major research was on etiology of bacterial infectious diseases and food safety. Her research areas were molecular diagnosis research on bacterial pathogens, such as the development of modified molecular beacon based real-time PCR assay for the detection of multiple food borne pathogens, molecular typing method research of food borne pathogens ,such as PFGE,MLVA, MLST etc. and enteric pathogens pathogenesis, such as Salmonella and V. parahaemolyticus etc. She has published about 80 papers on international and Chinese journal until 2011 and her outstanding papers were published on Clinical Chemistry, Journal of Clinical Microbiology and so on. She got 4 patents and one of her patents was transferred into producing the commercial kits. She got the grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China, The Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation and Shenzhen government etc. She got 8 prizes, such as 2nd Prize and 3rd of Guangdong Provincial Science & Technology Award rewarded by Chinese Medicine Society and Guangdong Provincial government etc. She was a committee member of Chinese Society for Microbiology and American Society for Microbiology and Vice chairman of pathogens committee of Shenzhen Preventive Medicine.
