　　Liu Guihua is the Chief Scientific investigator of research project through Joint Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation (FAO) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) programme, the research contract holder with IAEA in Food and Agriculture.  She is a member of China National Food Safety Standard Assessment Committee, chairman of Chemical Analysis and Physical Testing Committee of Shenzhen Preventive Medicine, and a visiting professor of Sun Yat-Sen University .  Now, she serves as the director of Chemical Analysis and Physical Testing Department in Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention

　　　  Prof. Liu has extensive experience in trace analysis of food, environmental and health fields for chemical contaminants, and focuses on method development and applied reasearch in the fields.  During the period March 2003 to February 2005, as a visiting scientist, she undertook training within Pesticideds and Veterinary Medicines Groups of the Food Safety and Quality Division in Central Science Laboratory, United Kingdom .  The main research areas were veterinary drug analysis and trace element analysis.  For the last 5 years, her Lab has established and developed 13 national standards of analytical methods, and participated in 11 research projects including international, national, provincial and municipal scientific research projects.  She has published over 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
