Mei Shujiang is the deputy director of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention Division of Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention. He graduated from the public health
school
of
Norman Bethune
University of Medical Science in 1990. Now he is the standing member of Risk Evaluation Committee of Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society (CEMS), the trustee of Shenzhen Preventive Medicine Association, and the vice chairman of Epidemiology Committee of Shenzhen Preventive Medicine Association. He was responsible for three projects including one Guangdong Natural Science Foundation and two from Shenzhen Science and Technology Project, and participated in several research programs including one National 9th Five-year Science and Technology Project, three Major National Science and Technology Projects in the 11th Five-Year Period, one National Natural Science Foundation of China and some from Ministry of Public Health or Health Department of Guangdong province. He participated in the edition of “Work Rules of Disease Control and Prevention of Shenzhen City”, ”Emergency Responding: The Practice and Exploration of Prevention and Control of influenza A H1N1", ”Intestinal EV71 Virus Type of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease”, “Field Epidemiology (third edition)”. He has published more than 30 research journal articles. He is the supervisor of Chinese Field Epidemiology Training Program (CFETP) and Shenzhen Field Epidemiology Training Program (SZFETP), and guides the internship of general practitioners and medical students.
